About Me

Language and literature have been my playground for as long as I can remember. Even in the days before the internet, I felt like I could travel anywhere through words—from 19th century France to the jungles of India. And to this day, I remain the only person I know who has ever browsed the Grammar section of Barnes and Noble for fun. (“Ooh, I wonder how this author feels about dangling prepositions?”)

Having grown up in Massachusetts, Taiwan, and California, I also developed what I later realized was a rare gift: I became fluent, literate, accent-free, literature-savvy, and culturally aware in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

I’ve met many people who are bilingual, but not many who can say they are skilled native speakers in both—who can read Love’s Labour’s Lost by Shakespeare and The Analects of Confucius, quote from The Princess Bride, and also tell you which movie gave the cockroach its Chinese nickname. (By the way, if you’re looking for translation or localization services rather than editing, feel free to reach out for that too!)

Since 2013, I’ve worked as an English tutor and editor, helping refine thousands of pieces of writing—stories, essays, presentations, personal statements, and more. No matter what you’re writing, I’d be honored to come alongside you and support you in the process—because your voice matters.
